🌷Slow Making in Spring: New Designs at Walter and Nancy Jewellery 🌷

🌼 March in the Workshop 🌼

March always feels like a gentle reset in the workshop.

After the busy pace of the end of last year, this time of year is a little quieter. I’m using it as a chance to slow down slightly, breathe, and enjoy the process of making again. I’m spending as much time as I can outside and with my family and intentionally keeping things slow. Its doing me the world of good!

A quieter moment to rest

🌷 I’m also taking advantage of this quieter period to rest a little and build some mental strength again.

Running a small business — especially in the lead up to Christmas — can be wonderfully busy but also quite intense. This slower season is important for recharging before the year picks up again.

Refining skills

🌱 Recently I completed my jewellery diplomas, so this month is also about refining the skills I learned and experimenting with them in new pieces.

I’m really enjoying revisiting techniques, practising them, and seeing how they can evolve into new designs for Walter and Nancy Jewellery.

Slowly creating new pieces

🌼 I’m slowly creating some new pieces in the workshop and enjoying having the time to let ideas develop naturally.

When things are less rushed, I can experiment a little more, try different techniques, and really enjoy the small details that make handmade jewellery special.

Already thinking about Christmas…

🎄 And yes… I’m already starting a few little things for Christmas 2026!

It might sound early, but handmade pieces take time. Starting ideas now means I can build a thoughtful collection slowly throughout the year.

The website is always open

❤️ My website is still open, and I’ll be adding new pieces as I make them over the coming weeks.

If you’d like to see what’s currently available — or keep an eye out for new designs — you can visit the shop anytime.
